Elma Arts resort in Zichron Ya’akov in Israel is a pearl of postwar Brutalism. Situated on Mount Carmel Ridge, the lodge overlooks the forests and the Mediterranean Sea. The idea for the previous sanitarium was to revive distinctive structure and provides it a brand new, inventive spirit.
Contained in the lodge, one can discover a big gallery house dedicated to Israeli artists and a music auditorium that have been conceived by an Israeli philanthropist and artwork collector Lily Elstein. Concrete and sharp traces outline the outside of the constructing, designed by Ya’akov Rechter. The rooms function native accents equivalent to Kilims, crafted textiles and stylish Terrazzo tiles. Within the phrases of Elstein: “Elma is a spot the place those that enter its doorways can discover artwork in each nook and at each second.”
